A long time ago, in a laboratory far, far away...


...Colin Hoobler, a Doctor of Physical Therapy & Biomechanist, conceived the idea of S3 Balance® in the University of Oregon Balance Laboratory while completing his first master's degree. Then came two decades of testing and research to fine-tune a safe way for vulnerable older adults to independently perform standing balance/strengthening exercise to reduce fall risk. Twenty years later, S3 Balance® was born.
